To attain a Contractors State License, applicants apply for a two-part examination, including the Law and Business Exam, and a trade or certification exam. In order to qualify for the exam, contractors must have at least four years of experience in the given class of licensing. Once accepted to take the exam, applicants are fingerprinted and notified of their test date. On the exam day, applicants must pass both portions of the examination to be certified.

The systems will be free from workmanship defects for the lifetime of the owner(s), or if transferred to another owner, twenty years from date of installation.
