Our employees go through additional training through the Solar Energy International (SEI) to ensure essential knowledge in photovoltaic design and installation. To attain a Contractors State License, applicants apply for a two-part examination, including the Law and Business Exam, and a trade or certification exam. In order to qualify for the exam, contractors must have at least four years of experience in the given class of licensing. Once accepted to take the exam, applicants are fingerprinted and notified of their test date. On the exam day, applicants must pass both portions of the examination to be certified.

The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP): Certified Solar PV Installer


The NABCEP certification is a voluntary certification that provides a set of national standards by which PV professionals can set themselves apart from other installers. Certified Solar PV Installers have experience as active installers, 58 hours of advanced PV training, and 10 hours of Occupational Safety & Health Administration training. Candidates must also provide documentation for 3 or 5 installations where they served a vital role and pass an examination.

The PDI Certificate is awarded to installers who complete a course that provides an understanding of the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems. To receive certification from SEI, PV professionals prepare for examination by learning with instructors in a hands-on environment, preparing them for their future work in the field.

The systems will be free from workmanship defects for the lifetime of the owner(s), or if transferred to another owner, twenty years from date of installation.
